Hotel Itamarati Centro-República

Not the best area of the city, but a visible police presence, so I never felt at risk. Good Brazilian breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, and of course lots of carbs. I expect the hotel is frequented primarily by Brazilians as English and Spanish are not widely spoken or understood.

Well reformed little old hotel with some charming style. Rooms, I'm sure, will surprise the most cynical of guests. Overall level of cleaning, modern equipment and refurbished areas, as well as the decent breakfast, were also worthy of mention

Comfortable bed, clean rooms and a good breakfast. I guess the location was good too but we didn’t explore the area.

It was really good for a work trip, with a tiny office and good wifi - plus amenities really close-by so you don't have to go too far. The staff was really helpful with recommandations.
